Why nickel matters before chrome

Base additives and brightener have different roles
The base system supports deposit structure and distribution, while brightener controls the final appearance. Product names and chemistry differ by supplier, so one additive should not be substituted for another without the process data sheet.
Concentration is only one part of control
Read bath analysis together with current density, temperature, pH, agitation, anode condition and production load. Appearance alone cannot identify which variable needs correction.
